Perched atop Pasadena Village, Aanari attempts boutique sophistication with a clutch of oriental statues and it does a pretty good job of removing itself from the tacky downtown milieu. Rooms feel distinctly Asian, with lacquered furnishings, errant flower petals and silk bed-runners. The hotel's biggest drawcard is the window-filled spa and fitness centre on the roof.
Its proximity to everything is either a plus or a major drawback, depending on what you're looking for.
