Rodrigues

This friendly spot, run by the same people that brought you Auberge du Lagon, welcomes guests with wallet-pleasing prices and simple digs painted in bright primary colours. The common spaces are cluttered with wonderful bits and bobs.

Chinese lanterns and handmade woodcuts dangle overhead, tropical fish blow bubbles in the aquarium, furnishings are made from a ragtag assortment of tree stumps and patio furniture, and staircases seem to ramble off in different directions, much like an Escher drawing.
