Masjid India

Kuala Lumpur

The original wooden mosque that gave the area its name was built in 1883, and replaced by a bulky red-granite tiled modern structure in 1963. It's not much to look at, but it's fronted by a busy market and surrounded by stalls selling religious items and traditional Malay costumes.

The area's famous Saturday night market runs along Lg TAR, behind the mosque.
