Western Madagascar
Run by the local community, Le Camp Amoureux is, despite being an hour's drive south of Kirindy, many people's preferred base for visiting the reserve. It was closed for refurbishment at the time of research, but should have opened by the time you read this. Comfortable, African-style safari tents are planned. Night walks in the surrounding forest are possible.
If you're staying here, you'll need to drive to Ecolodge de Kirindy to arrange guided walks and see the fossa.
