La Case en Falafy

Northern Madagascar

One of the best-value options in the Diego Suarez area, La Case en Falafy is about 200m up the hill from the beach. It has a great bar, pool and restaurant. The thatched-roof bungalows sit in a lovely garden but have no sea views. Try for one at the back of the property – they are a bit quieter.

Tours and excursions can be arranged.

There's a Kitesurf Centre here with IKO-registered instructors. Lessons (one/six hours €45/255) include equipment and a transfer to Trois Baies.
