Maliba Lodge

Top choice in Lesotho

Maliba ('Madiba') offers a range of accommodation, from riverside huts to comfy lodge rooms to lavish chalets, in Ts’ehlanyane National Park, along with a fine-dining restaurant, a casual bistro and two bars. The chalets are Lesotho's plushest accommodation, each featuring a four-poster bed, antique furniture, a hot tub facing the mountain range, heated towel racks and welcome sherry.

Walking trails lead to waterfalls and there's a spa and kids' club. Activities include horse riding, birdwatching, archery and village visits.

Accommodation also includes well-equipped self-catering cottages (M1632), with terraces overlooking the river and gazing up a mountain valley, as well as quaint stone-and-thatch riverside huts (singles/doubles M695/800) near swimming holes and hiking trails (hut 3 offers privacy for romantic couples). Rates rise in December and over Easter weekend.
