Chalets in the Sky

Lesotho

Signposted from the main road near the Letseng Diamond Mine, roughly halfway between Mokhotlong and Oxbow, is this wilderness getaway in the pristine Khubelu Valley. The six riverside self-catering rondavels (round huts with a conical roof) nestle in a verdant landscape, running on a generator from 6am to 10pm. Only accessible by 4WD or (in decent weather) a high-clearance 2WD.

Activities on offer include pony trekking, fly-fishing and a hot springs trip (via horseback).
