Subtle lighting and immaculately managed foliage intersperse the Thongbay's close-packed, wood-and-thatch bungalows, most of which overlook the Nam Khan. Facilities include balconies, minibars and good tiled bathrooms with step-in showers. The downside is an isolated location on an unpaved backstreet near the new bridge, so it's a 20-minute walk from town or 20,000K by tuk-tuk.
