The only hotel on Failaka Island has a range of facilities, including a petting zoo, a lake, horse riding, camel rides and watersports. Crafts are produced in a living heritage village and are available for sale. The hotel offers an atmospheric stay in its 23 rooms inside a refurbished police station. There's also a small Kuwaiti restaurant serving international food.
In addition to standard hotel rooms, there are 40 traditional heritage houses for groups of up to 15 people. The hotel also offers day rates of KD20. Book via Ikarus, which operates a catamaran transfer service from Marina Crescent in Kuwait City (next to Starbucks). Day trips last six hours. Booking ahead is essential, and you must arrive 45 minutes before departure.
