This international-standard five-star hotel is the choice of those who can afford it. Opened in 2012 in the heart of the city, this place is all marble floors, obsequious staff and liveried attendants. The rooms are lavish, if a little over-the-top and the suites are immense, all decorated with expensive furnishings and many enjoying great city views.

There's also a spa, restaurant, wine cellar and piano lounge. Check out the framed letter above the reception desk from a certain happy guest called Hilary Clinton.
