Protected from view by a stand of riverine woodland and looking out across the plains of the northern Mara, Saruni Wild sits in the heart of some of Mara North's best wildlife country. The three tents are beautifully spaced, giving a wonderfully intimate in-camp experience, and the sundowner table feels like it's on infinity's edge.
The tents are relatively simple and were due for some freshening up not long after we visited, but expect the rustic wood furnishings to remain. The lack of electricity and wifi only adds to the blissful sense of being out in the African wild.
The camp actually sits in Lemek Conservancy, right on the cusp of Mara North. Note that Lemek allows self-drive vehicles, whereas Mara North does not.
