This intimate camp has eight tents that are luxurious without being over the top and food that is of a genuinely high standard. But what really makes Elephant Pepper stand out is its setting, under a dense thicket of trees with views over rolling grasslands that, at times, can be a seething mass of grunting, growling and trumpeting megafauna.
In fact, so much wildlife can sometimes be found right outside the (unfenced) camp that lying in your tent at night, listening to the sounds of the African night, might leave you feeling like a part of the food chain! For most people it's wonderfully exhilarating, but for those with a nervous disposition, it may all prove a bit much. Sit at the classic wooden desks in your tent and write home about it.
