Kamachiku

Ueno & Yanesen

Kama-age udon (wheat noodles served straight in the cook pot) is the speciality at this popular restaurant. It's part beautifully restored brick warehouse from 1910 and contemporary building by architect Kuma Kengo. In addition to noodles, the menu includes a good selection of sake and lots of small dishes (such as grilled fish, veggies and a delicious Japanese-style omelette).

A communal table provides a lovely view onto a garden.
