Tokyo restaurants with camel, ostrich and kangaroo (that most non-African of marsupials) on the menu can be counted on one hand. Safari's speciality dish, however, is its super-spicy Ethiopian chicken curry doro wat – a real wake up for the senses. Come during happy hour (5pm to 7.30pm) for dishes and drinks at only ¥500.
If you want to try on an injera (Ethiopian-style pancake made with fermented batter) along with several other dishes (¥3500), you need to give four days notice. On the last Tuesday of the month it also has a singer from Ghana playing from 7pm.
