Osteria La Porta

Set just inside Monticchiello's main gate, this eatery has a wonderful terrace with a panoramic view of the Val d'Orcia. Inside, the dining room is cramped. Once known for the quality of its cuisine, we were sorely disappointed with our most recent meal here, which was pricey but unremarkable. Spuntini (snacks) such as cheese plates are served outside usual meal hours.
