Barsanti e Marlia

Included in many a guided walking tour of the city, this hardware shop has been in biz since 1949 and sells everything from traditional truffle, oyster and chestnut knives to spaghetti and tagliatelli 'rolling pins', chocolate thermometers and mushrooming tools. Its window display, strung with rather fierce-looking machetes and knives, is particularly eye-catching.
