Orsa Maggiore

Trastevere & Gianicolo

This women-only guesthouse is housed on the 2nd floor of a 16th-century convent. Run by the Casa Internazionale delle Donne (International Women’s House), it offers accommodation in spotlessly clean single and double rooms, plus shared rooms and dorms with two to 10 beds. There are spartan furnishings, high ceilings, terracotta herringbone-tiled floors and lavender paintwork. Lesbians are welcomed. There is a ground-floor cafe with garden.

Some of the 13 rooms have views onto the attractive internal garden. It's wheelchair accessible. Towels/laundry cost €2/7.
