Doppiozeroo

Southern Rome

This easy-going cafe, restaurant and wine bar hybrid was once a bakery, hence the name (‘double zero’ is a type of flour). These days it attracts trendy Romans who pile in here to enjoy the famously lavish aperitivi buffet (pre-dinner drinks and snacks; 6pm to 9pm), taglieri (cheese or meat platters) at the bar, or dinners in the sleek dining area.

Its next-door cafe (7am to 6pm) sells bread, sandwiches and pastries to eat in or take away.
