Try not to drool on the cases full of luscious pastry and gelato displays crafted at this pasticceria (pastry shop), which was established in 1931. Treats range from buttery crostate (tarts) to piles of golden sfogliatelle romane (ricotta-filled pastries). Hanging out with a coffee on the sunny pavement terrace is a warm-weather delight. Andreotti cooks up simple meals; pasta dishes ring in at around €6.

Film director and Ostiense local Ferzan Ozpetek (Loose Cannons/Mine Vaganti; 2010) is such a fan of the pastries that he's been known to cast them in his films.
