With a street-level bar and basement dining room, hip, minimalist Donna Romita serves gorgeous, locavore fare with competent modern tweaks. The emphasis is on regional ingredients from smaller producers, whether it's sweet, fragrant Montoro onions or organic olive oil from the Vallo di Diano. Even the wine list is an all-Campanian affair, from the bollicine (sparkling wines) to the post-dinner grappe.
Those feeling less committed can happily head in for a simple glass of vino and a serve of artisan cheeses and salumi (cured meats). Expect an arty, cosmopolitan centro-storico crowd.
