Things have changed little since the original wine dealer started here in 1848. Elegant tables with delicate wrought-iron-backed chairs, globe lamps and red-and-white-checked floors make a charming setting for bruschetta with goat cheese and smoked aubergine, or home-made ravioli with bacon, butter and sage. Start off with a delectable cheese fondue with poached egg and black truffle.
Choose from an extensive selection of wines by the glass. Though it's open late, the kitchen closes at 10.30pm.
