La Pia Centenaria

La Spezia

Founded in 1887, La Pia is a much-loved icon in La Spezia. Piping hot slices of farinata (chickpea flour flat bread) is the big draw, though there's also perfectly cooked slabs of pizzas, satisfying focaccia (including the cheese-packed focaccia di Recco) and quiche-like vegetable tort. The dining room is a casual affair, though there's also a takeaway window next door.
