La Via del Tè

Oltrarno

When the urge for a decent cup of tea takes hold, head straight to this elegant and old-world Florentine tea shop and sala da tè (tea room) in Santo Spirito where ladies meet at teatime for tea and cake – or cream-topped scones and finger sandwiches, or traditional French, Indian or Moroccan pastries depending on your geographic choice of tea.

You can also pick from dozens of different teas to buy and take home, including Il Sogno di Michelangelo, a blend of Chinese oolong tea with chestnut and cream aromas said to evoke Michelangelo's vision of David as the symbol of Florence.
