Nud e Crud

Rimini

Avoid the tourist onslaught along the waterfront and head to quaint Borgo San Giuliano where locals – including the mayor – go year-round for gourmet piadine (flatbread sandwiches). Plop down on the colourful patio and dig into stuffed treats: anchovy, chicory, lettuce and spring onion; moro romagnola sausage, radicchio and onion; and grilled vegetables with melted squacquerone cheese, among others.

The closed cassoni are also great – veggies will love the pecorino cheese, walnuts and herbs.
