La Marianna

Rimini

This lovely former inn just north of the old Roman bridge has welcomed travellers for over a century. Turquoise-aproned waiters zip between the covered front terrace and the marble-tiled dining room, brandishing tempting platters of fried and grilled shrimp, calamari and smaller Adriatic fish along with pasta specials.

If you're looking for a nice meaty grilled fillet of fish, move on. But if fritto misto (fried seafood) is more your thing, it remains a solid, if underwhelming, choice.
