Il Capriccio

Cilento Coast

On the road to Perdifumo, this is a favourite local choice. An unassuming place with a terrace, Il Capriccio has a gracious host in owner Enxo. The menu runs the gamut from seafood classics such as zuppa di cozze (mussel soup) and polipetti affogati (poached octopus) to less fishy options such as zuppa di ceci (chickpea soup).

The crostata della nonna (grandma’s cake) is as promising as it sounds: a delicious confection of puff pastry, almonds and seasonal fruit.
