Lo Smeraldino

Amalfi

Situated west of the centre, on the waterfront overlooking the fishing boats, this inviting blue-and-white beachside restaurant was founded in 1949. As well as crisp-based pizzas, this is a good place for fancy risottos, such as smoked salmon and caviar, or simple classics including grilled or poached local fish.

Despite the location, this is not a place where you come wrapped in a sarong and wearing flip-flops; the atmosphere is one of understated elegance. Book ahead at weekends.
