The kind of uber-designer flourishes that could go horribly wrong are pulled off with elan at Talbot’s – some rooms sport pink and gold baroque beds, black flock wallpaper and swirly gilt mirrors; others are as luxurious but more restrained. Some have Jacuzzis too.
