Dating from 1781 and run by the seventh generation, this upmarket pub serves seasonal and locally sourced dishes, from gourmet lunchtime sandwiches (eg chicken and pesto on garlic and rosemary bread or maple- and soy-marinated pork on brioche) to more complex evening mains like beetroot- and apple-glazed pork belly with salt-baked celeriac.
