The Bar

Aran Islands

The buzzing Bar provided last pints for those emigrating from Galway to the USA, hence its former name, the American Bar (and its photos of Elvis, Bob Dylan et al). Live music plays nightly from May to mid-October, and weekends year-round.

Quality food (mains €8 to €24), spanning burgers and mussels steamed in wine, is served from 10.30am to 9.30pm.
