Durty Nelly's

County Clare

Having opened way back in 1620, mustard-yellow Durty Nelly's once served the guards at neighbouring Bunratty Castle. A warren of snugs, timber beams and peat fires, it also has an astonishing collection of badges donated by firefighters, police and service personnel from all over the world. Impressive food includes duck breast with black cherry sauce.

Superb castle and river views extend from the upstairs terrace.
