Amir Hotel

With a decent location and a pleasant 1960s design that has been well preserved in common areas (check out the water-grotto feature in the dining area) and most rooms, the Amir is a solid midrange choice. It's worth paying a bit more for the 'special rooms' on the 1st floor with their elegant contemporary design featuring calligraphy of Omar Khayyam poetry.
