Max's large, contemporary fast-food place serves unusually good Iranian pizza in the vividly yellow-green upstairs section. Easily missed in the basement below is the atmospheric traditional Iranian restaurant, where the friendly English-speaking owners help you understand the fair-priced menu, which includes the local speciality boz ghormeh (mutton-whey mush).
The rear section is particularly attractive, with takht (carpeted bed-seats) and framed pictures of majestically bearded medieval gentry.
