Khan-e Mosafer

Iran

This licensed homestay offers an excellent way to gain a feel for genuine village life. Guests stay in a huge room occupying the top floor of the owner's family house with a small kitchenette available. Lunch or dinner is home cooked on request. There's no wi-fi but every effort is made to make guests feel welcome and at home.

Mr Sayadi and his family can help arrange rafting along the nearby river; a 20-minute trip costs US$10; a 45-minute trip costs US$20 and a 90-minute trip including lunch costs US$35. Horse riding (US$8 per hour) in the local hills is another great way to explore the local landscape.
