Fronted by a badgir (windtower), this late-Safavid house opened as an upmarket restaurant-teahouse in early 2017. Specialities include fish fillets, and shrimp served with fresh-baked tanour bread coloured with tumeric and subtly flavoured mutton fat. Tea for two costs IR40,000, plus IR5000 each for their delicious house-made shirini (date pastries).
The Shahnashin room, decorated with partly glazed lamps and cooled by the badgir, is the nicest of five very differently styled rooms.
