This charming family restaurant makes delightful use of a domed cellar room off the rear courtyard of the historic Tadayon House (in which you'll also find a gift shop, gemstone store and cultural office Semnan Miras). Delicious house-cooked specialities include khorak-e gushk (mince with potato) that is best ordered along with some of their divine mirza ghasemi (garlic aubergine paste).
Seating is at three takht (daybed-tables), or in winter at blanket-wrapped floor-seating tables with under-heating in small side rooms. Gently lilting traditional music and oddments of carpet and ceramicwork add an understated charm. Owner Mr Nazari is also a sculptor. No English spoken.
