Down a backstreet just off Jl Nipah, Brigitte’s is a great backpacker pad with a relaxed ambience and chilled lounge and kitchen areas. The singles are poky but the dorms and doubles are spacious, while some of the air-con rooms are in a separate apartment building a block away. Brigitte is a treasure trove of information on buses, ferries and Mentawai adventures.
