Kri Eco is the original Raja Ampat dive lodge. It’s a professional operation with a gorgeous setting; baby black-tip reef sharks are frequently seen swimming in the shallows below the restaurant. Most rooms are on stilts at the edge of the crystal-clear water with on-land, shared bathrooms (with mandis and hot-water showers) but there are two deluxe en suite cottages.
The owner is a prominent conservationist and the resort donates 10% of the profits to local communities and sustainability initiatives. Naturally all meals are included and you can choose from unlimited diving package or paying for dives (€53) as you go.
