Rooms in this sprawling compound are basic but good value – the cheapest have fans and cold water. Overlooking two legendary breaks, Lakey Pipe and Lakey Peak, its open-sided, driftwoody cafe-bar is a great place to enjoy a post-surf beer, a pizza or Indo classics (mains 35,000Rp to 45,000Rp). French owner Rachel was one of the first foreign surfers to put down roots in Lakey.
