This club is a classic remnant of the Raj era. Temporary membership is outrageously overpriced, but drinks are relatively cheap and its atmospheric bar – with timber beams, buttoned-up barmen with handlebar moustaches and an outdoor deck overlooking the lake – is perfect for an afternoon drink. No shorts or slippers, and signs warn that ‘decorum should be maintained’.
