Palace Belvedere

Built in 1897, this was the summer palace of the rajas of Awagarh. Animal skins and old prints adorn the walls, lending a faded Raj-era charm. There's a grand staircase and the aged, if worn, rooms are spacious and high-ceilinged. Upstairs gets more light. Downstairs has an elegant dining room (no alcohol), lounge and veranda. Winters can be cold here.
