The 1939 Morris by the entrance sets the tone here, with a classy and stylish collection of courtyards and all-white terraces given colour by original terrazzo flooring, art deco flourishes and lovely bougainvilla. The 41 rooms were once part of a 1936 haveli (ornately decorated traditional residence) and boast antique furniture, some with four-poster beds and private terraces.
There's an excellent Italian restaurant (evenings Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner Saturday and Sunday; mains ₹550 to ₹650) with outdoor seating and a pizza oven, and rooftop bar (beer/cocktail ₹300/700; from 7pm), plus a swimming pool with loungers. It's also known as the Saraca Estate after the Ashoka trees in the garden.
