Run by Buddhist nuns and Dutch volunteers, this wonderful six-room getaway attracts longer-stay guests who want to unwind in a calm, meditative environment. The comfortable and stylish accommodation has a fascinating setting amid the 1000-year-old chortens of Ringchen Zangpo's ancient university, and there are great walks to the nearby fortlike latho (local deity shrine) or to the meditation caves on the hillside behind the guesthouse.

The guesthouse is 2km east of Thiksey, 1.2km north of the Leh-Karu Hwy at Km452 by Lazeez Restaurant (nearly halfway to Stakna). A taxi to/from Leh costs ₹600.
