In a building whose half-timbered exterior has an almost Japanese vibe, upper-floor rooms have floral bedboards, carpets and window-gazing towards Khangchendzonga, though bathrooms are underwhelming. Less-polished lower floor rooms mostly have views too, albeit partly tree-obstructed.
Four floors down (no lift) is the appealing split-level restaurant Tangerine (Sikkimese food available) and a delightful shady garden area.
