Roop Niwas Kothi

Rajasthan

About 4km east of town is a converted palace partitioned into two hotels. Roop Niwas Kothi is one sibling and has a back-to-the-Raj feel, lovely grounds and old-fashioned but well-maintained rooms with good bathrooms. Horse-riding tours can be arranged here, and the excellent restaurant is open to nonguests for lunch and dinner (bookings required).
