Plopped down on the banks of the Ramchandi River, just across from a sandy Bay of Bengal beach 10km south of Konark, this friendly, laid-back camp has fan-cooled, comfortable tented rooms dotted around a slightly unkempt forest clearing. The camp is 500m off the main Puri–Konark road; jump off the bus when you see the sign.
Tents come with cute attached shower rooms with sit-down flush toilets. The food consists of two sumptuous Odishan thalis, cooked in a traditional charcoal-fired chulha (stove) and served on a banana leaf. You must book ahead.
