Cherrapunjee Holiday Resort

Top choice in Meghalaya

Run by an affable Khasi woman, this delightful resort is 15km southwest of Cherrapunjee but only 4km from Tyrna. It has inviting rooms in the main building and more deluxe abodes in a newer block. The home-style meals are simply fantastic, and the resort can provide helpful information and guides for other nearby hikes and canyoning trips.

A bus leaves nearby Laitkynsew village for Shillong (₹70, 6am Monday to Saturday). Coming the other way, it leaves the ground floor of the Cherrapunjee taxi building at Anjeli in Shillong at 1pm. A taxi from Cherrapunjee costs ₹300 to ₹400.
