This historic restaurant (a century old in 2018) is the classiest place in town to try meaty wazwan (traditional Kashmiri multicourse meal) dishes such as methi maaz (mutton with fenugreek) and rista (minced lamb meatballs in onion sauce), plus there are kebabs from the tandoor. The service and decor are excellent and you can choose from interior or outside seating.
The restaurant started as a bakery and the ground-floor cafe continues that tradition with a range of excellent espresso and cakes.
