East Iceland

The town's best option demonstrates that Icelanders have yet to find a building they couldn't convert into a guesthouse! This was a supermarket, and now houses fresh well-priced rooms (all with bathroom); note, there's no kitchen. There's a pleasant all-day cafe (snacks and meals 400kr to 3900kr) serving homemade fare (great cakes), and a small selection of dishes of an evening.
