Laugarás is essentially a community of farms, many of which sell their fresh organic produce on-site. Engi regularly offers a selection of top-grade fruits and vegetables grown in greenhouses. Adorable souvenirs – including rocks painted like ladybirds – are also for sale. It’s 3km southeast of Skálholt.
